2 tbsp. cooking oil
1/2 cup carrots, thinly sliced
1/2 cup thinly sliced Baguio beans
2 cups cabbage, shredded
1 7g. MAGGI Flavor-It Super Ginisa Mix
1/4 cup chopped celery
1 cup water
250 grams lomi noodles, blanched
2 whole eggs, beaten

1. Heat oil, saute carrots and baguio beans for 3 minutes. Add cabbage and cook for another 2 minutes.
2. Stir in MAGGI Flavor-It Super Ginisa Mix and celery. Pour in water and simmer for 3 minutes. Toss in lomi and beaten eggs, mix to coat lomi with the sauce and eggs and cook for 5 minutes more.

Baked mac mexicana September 7, 2007

250 g DEL MONTE Elbow macaroni, cooked
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pc medium onion, chopped
1/4 kg ground beef
2 pouches (250g each) DEL MONTE Italian Style Spaghetti Sauce
1 cup cooked red kidney beans
1/2 cup canned corn kernels
1 tsp chili powder
1 cup coarsely grated quickmelt cheese

PROCEDURE:

1. Preheat oven at 350F.
2. Saute garlic, onion and beef. Cook for 5 minutes. Add DEL MONTE Spaghetti Sauce, beans, corn and chili powder. Simmer for 5 minutes. Mix half of sauce and cheese with DEL MONTE Elbow Macaroni. Set Aside.
3. Pour into 12″x8″ rectangular pan. Top with remaining meat mixture and cheese. Bake for 15-20 minutes.

Makes 8 servings.

Cheese Puffs September 7, 2007

1 cup cheese, grated
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1 egg, separated
4 tablespoons sugar

Combine cheese, bread crumbs, egg yolks and seasonings.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg white.
Shape into balls about 3/4-inch in diameter.
Roll in fine bread crumbs.
Fry in deep hot fat until brown.
Drain off excess fat in absorbent paper.

Yield: 2 to 3 dozen puffs.

* Cheddar cheese grates better if cheese is placed in the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes before grating.

Cheesy Mashed Potato September 6, 2007

2 cups hot mashed potato
½ cup full cream milk
1 tsp fine salt
¼ tsp ground pepper
2 tbsps Magnolia Gold Butter
¼ cup grated Magnolia Quickmelt Cheese
¼ tsp paprika
2 tbsps green peas

Combine hot mashed potato with milk, cheese, paprika and butter until soft and smooth. Season and arrange in a platter. Make an indention at the center and fill with green peas

Hard-boiled eggs September 6, 2007

6 pcs. hard-boiled eggs
3 pcs. jumbo hotdog (sliced)
1 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
1 small onion
some garlic
cooking oil
salt and pepper to taste

sautee in oil garlic and onion. add hotdogs and cook for 2 minutes. pour in tomato sauce and bring to boil. add water and cook until the sauce becomes thick. put in eggs and sprinkle with salt and pepper. let it simmer for 2 minutes. you may add a pinch of sugar if desired.

M.Y. San Grahams Pinipig Balls September 6, 2007

1/2 cup (5 crackers) M.Y. San Grahams Honey, crushed
1/2 cup powdered milk
1/4 cup condensed milk
1/2 cup and 3 tablespoons pinipig, toasted and finely chopped
1. MIX everything in a bowl except 3 tablespoons of pinipig.
2. FORM mixture into balls.
3. ROLL balls in the remaining pinipig. Serve and enjoy.

Makes 20 pieces.
Cost of recipe: About P50.00
Cost per serving : About P2.50

*** Mix the powdered milk with condensed milk first to dissolve thoroughly.

Floppy Dog Ears September 6, 2007

5 pcs regular or jumbo hotdogs (whatever you prefer)
Cooking oil for pan-frying
1 (250 g) pack pancake mix (store bought)
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup cheese, grated

- pan-fry hotdogs in oil. Set aside.
- prepare pancake mix according to package directions. Set aside.
- preheat a crepe/frying pan. Melt a teaspoon of butter. Pour about 1/3 c of pancake batter on the pan.
- when bubbles appear on the surface, sprinkle some grated cheese on top.
- place a piece of hotdog in the middle of the pancake.
- carefully roll the pancake to secure hotdog in the middle. Continue to cook over low heat until pancake has set. Serve warm with pancake syrup or ketchup.
